Rhynchothorax sp.

Rhynchothorax mediterraneus —Zilberberg, 1963: 21–25, figs 1 –4 ( Brazil: Ilha de Trindade , 50–70 m) (non Costa, 1861).

Holotype: Unknown.

Type locality: Unknown.

Remarks: Part of the material analyzed by Zilberberg (1963) was re-analyzed by Child (1988), who concluded that

some specimens identified as R. mediterraneus belong to R. monnioti ( Stock 1992: 135) . However Child’s record is

doubtful ( Bamber & Costa 2009) and is not included here. We did not have access to the material of Zilberberg

(1963) and are unable to confirm his identification, so we prefer to maintain this species unnamed.
