Material examined. Algeria: 1 ♀, Tamelhart, 29.iii.1989, leg. Kuchler ( CWS) .
Biology. The species occurs in semi-deserts. Preimaginal stages and host plant are unknown. Adults fly from the end of March to the end of May.
Distribution. North Africa, Sahara ( Speidel & Hassler 1989; Slamka 2019): known from Algeria and from one of the type localities in Tunisia (Nefta).
Molecular data. No barcodes are available for R. kraussi .
