Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).

Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic, rarely on moss-covered rocks or on the ground, in humid forests; 2150–3400 m.

Notes: —Some plants are difficult to distinguish from R. gardneriana . The leaves resemble R. stipitata , but that species has long, dark, terete petioles.
