Holotype: EBRG 3005 View Materials .

Type locality: “ Summit of Cerro Yaví , 2,150 m, Amazonas, Venezuela.”

Distribution: Region 5. Endemic to Cerros Yaví and Yutajé, two tepuis in northern Amazonas State.

Remarks: In non-monophyletic Pristimantis unistrigatus species group according to Lynch and Duellman (1997), Myers and Donnelly (2001), and Hedges et al. (2008) not assigned to any species group by Padial et al. (2014).
