Plateros lalui sp. n.

Type material: Holotype: male, S Sulawesi, 25 km SSE Malino, Gn. Lompobatang , 1800 m, 119.53.31E 5.17.50S, 2628 July 1999, Bolm lgt. ( LMBC) ; Paratypes: 3 females, same locality data ; 15 males, 12 females, same locality data, 1314 July 2001 ( LMBC) .

Differential diagnosis. Plateros lalui sp. n. belongs to a group of Plateros with concolour yellow body. It reminds P. flavidus Kleine, 1933 from which P. lalui sp. n. differs in parallelsided antennomeres 310 ( Figs 20, 22 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ). P. flavidus is known by the female holotype. Therefore, we can not compare male genitalia.

Description. Body medium sized, moderately robust, slightly widened backwards. Antennomeres 311, metasternum, abdomen, and tarsi dark brown, cranium light brown, tibiae infuscated apically. Pronotum, elytra, pro and mesosternum yellow. Head small, eyes hemispherically prominent, eye diameter 1.10 times interocular distance. Antennae moderately robust, reaching two thirds of elytral length, antennomeres very weakly widened in apical parts, bearing erected pubescence ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ). Pronotum 1.5 times wider basally than long at midline. Frontal margin moderately projected, anterior angles distinct, lateral margins parallelsided in frontal half, divergent backwards, posterior angles acutely projected. Disc shining, with sparse, moderately long pubescence. Elytra 3.54 times longer than width at humeri, with sparse, light pubescence. Elytral costae apparent, primary costae only slightly weaker than secondary ones, bottom of cells darker than costae, cells rounded, regular. Phallus strong basally, slender in apical two fifths ( Figs 12, 13 View FIGURES 11 27. 11 13 ).

Measurements. BL 8.75 mm, WH 2.06 mm PL 1.22 mm, PW 1.83 mm, Ediam 0.57 mm, Edist 0.52 mm. Females (paratypes) BL 7.59.8mm, WH 2.22.6 mm.

Distribution. Southern Sulawesi Province, Lompobatang massive.
