( Figs 9–15 View FIGURES 9 – 15 , 111)
Diagnosis. Thorax entirely covered with yellow, scattered pruinescence; pronotum and scutellum pale brown to yellow, scutum pale brown on postsutural region and yellow on presutural region, postpronotal lobe and notopleuron; mesopleuron dark yellow on dorsal half and yellow on ventral half; legs yellowish except hind tibia darkened apically and tarsomeres 3–5 pale brown.
Etymology. From the Latin arcus (bow), in reference to the arched aspect of the left surstylus.
Description. Holotype male. Body: 3.1 mm. Wing: 3.3 mm. Head: antenna pale brown to yellow located slightly above middle of head; scape slightly longer than pedicel; postpedicel conical, twice longer than wide, shorter than scape and pedicel combined; stylus long, apical, bare, about 2.5 times length of antenna. Ocellar triangle slightly protuberant with two pairs of ocellar setae, anterior pair elongate, proclinate 45º, posterior pair thin and short. Holoptic, frons long, approximately half length of face. Proboscis yellow; palpus pale brown bearing 1 long apical and 1 shorter lateral bristle. Postcranium brown with yellowish brown pruinescence; postoculars elongate, scattered, upper setae longest. Thorax: entirely covered with very thin, yellow scattered pruinescence; pronotum and scutellum pale brown to yellow, scutum pale brown on postsutural region and yellow on presutural region, postpronotal lobe and notopleuron; anepisternum, anepimeron and laterotergite dark yellow, katepisternum, meron and mediotergite yellow. Bristles thin, short and scattered; acr and dc uniserial. Differentiated bristles: 4 npl (3 lower short and discreet and 1 long and robust above); posterior dc pair developed (lost in holotype); 1 short and thin pal; 1 long and strong apical sctl and 1 lateral bristle weaker, about two-thirds length of apical. Wing (Fig. 111): sub-hyaline with purple and golden iridescence; R1 meeting C before middle of wing; cell dm emitting 2 veins; cell cu p present. Legs: coxae and trochanters pale yellow; femora and tibiae dark yellow; hind tibia darkened apically; tarsi pale brown except tarsomeres 1 and 2 yellow. Legs with weak bristles: mid tibia with 1A at middle and 1D near base; 1A rather strong near apex and some ventral elongated on the hind femur. Abdomen: tergites and sternites pale brown; shiny with pruinescence only on tergite 8. Bristles pale brown, thin, short and scattered. Terminalia: hypandrium elongate, about 2.3 times longer than wide with slightly concave apex ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ); epandrium short, not deeply cleft dorsally, epandrial lamellae broadly fused basally ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ); left epandrial lamella distinctly shorter than right, with dorsoapical process slender and folded medially ( Figs 10, 12 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ); right surstylus slightly shorter than left, sub-triangular with apex elongate and narrowed ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ); left surstylus long, simple, falciform, curved dorsally ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ); articulated distal portion of the phallus simple, short, about one-third length of basal portion, with basal process very short ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ). Female. Similar to male. Ovipositor ( Figs 14, 15 View FIGURES 9 – 15 ): eighth segment short; tergite 8 deeply cleft medially on distal margin; sternite 8 narrow, about twice longer than wide.
