Material
“ New Britain, Gazelle Pen., Bainings St., Paul’s 350 m, 4–9 September 1955 ” (3: BPBM); “ New Britain, Gazelle Pen., Kerawat 60 m, August–September 1955 / Gressitt Collector” (4: BPBM) .
Remarks
Specimens from New Britain differ from those from New Guinea in having the body larger (reaching above 4.0 mm length) and the yellowish border running along elytral margins distinctly broader. Thorough comparison of genitalia and other structures, however, leave no doubts that the populations from these two islands are conspecific.
