Valid name: Chaerephon bivittatus (Heuglin, 1861)

Syntypes: ZMB 2792 View Materials [a–b] (two specimens), bodies in alcohol, skulls extracted; “Abyssinia, “Bogos[land]” = country of the Bogos , Eritrea; collected by T. von Heuglin, ex SMNS.

Comment: Three further syntypes are in SMNS (981, 981a, 981b) , and Jentink (1888: 203) listed anonther syntype, presumably in the RMNH .
