Description. Body clothed in long dense setae. Head with scales on frons convex. Pronotum with one central band, lateral margins relatively convex. Elytra with color blue pattern to gray and brown pattern. Legs with front tibia shape flat expanded, tibial brush relatively elongate; hind tibia apex truncate. Median lobe curved. Endophallus with basal lobe not recurved and distended, dorsal lobe absent, distal projection absent, endophallus terminal recurved, median ventral lobe absent, middle thick, ventral apical lobe present position of apex high not pointed ventrally shape round, subapical lobe resting on posterior dorsal surface, transfer apparatus strongly sclerotized. Spermatheca with basal lobes of relatively equal lengths.

Distribution. ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 ) This species is endemic to sand dunes of the southern Panamint Valley. Distribution is partially sympatric with M. setosus .

Etymology. This epithet is designated to reflect the geographic location of this species found only in the Panamint Valley.

Intra- and interspecific morphological variation. Miloderes panamintensis is similar to M. setosus but differs in having only a single dark vitta on the pronotum with no lateral vittae. Also the shape of the endophallus is different, with the region distal to the ventral apical lobe, being more expanded ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 A). Individuals vary in color from a blue to a gray and brown pattern.
