Distribution: Southwestern U.S. and Mexico.

Specimens examined: Seventy-four from 50 collection events.

Flight period: Approximately 85% from March through May.

Remarks: Most Microctonus species treated here with relatively large eyes are sexually dimorphic with the males having smaller eyes. Both sexes of M. invictus however have similarly large eyes. Many specimen labels note that the collection was at UV light.
