Lappodiamesa Serra-Tosio, 1968 View in CoL
A larva of Lappodiamesa vidua (Kieffer, 1922) was collected from a tributary to the Mulchatna River in Southwest Alaska. This tributary was a medium-sized stream with a flow of 0.44 m 3 /s, a very cold temperature of 2.8 ⁰C at the time of sampling in mid-June, and the dominant substrate was coarse gravel ( Fig. 10A–C View FIGURE 10 ). The area was forested canopy in the riparian zone with some large woody debris. Other investigators have found males of this genus near a small stream and immature stages from rivers ( Saether & Willassen 1988). This is a new faunistic record for the Nearctic .
