Description of Jannaschia cystaugens IMCC View in CoL 12052
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, and cream colored after 5 days on MA at 25° C. Negative for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, indole production, esculin hydrolysis, and arginine dihydrolase, β -galactosidase, urease, and gelatinase activities in API 20NE. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-maltose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, phenylacetic acid, capric acid, and adipic acid. Strain IMCC 12052 View Materials (= NIBRBA0000114258) was isolated from seawater, Incheon, Korea .
