Jamesonia scalaris Kunze, Crypt. Vasc. View in CoL Bresil 2: 38. 1873.

= Jamesonia boliviensis A.F.Tryon, Contr. Gray Herb. 191: 174, fig. 13. 1962.

Range: —Northern Peru to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).

Ecology: —Common; terrestrial in moist grasslands, scrub, and timberline forests, often among rocks; 2500–4000 m.

Notes: —Pinnae abaxially with sparse, spreading hairs; pinnae adaxially with short, gland-tipped hairs. Differs from J. blepharum by the longer pinna stalks (> 1 mm long) and the pinnae usually perpendicular to the plane of the blade. Specimens with inequilateral pinna bases have been called J. boliviensis , but that difference seems taxonomically insupportable.
