Diagnosis: So far the largest Ilhasina species (around 0.9mm carapace length) with a stocky carapace shape, highly arched dorsal margin, and posteriorly very strongly widened carapace (dorsal view!). On the posterior field of both valves is a strong callus, which runs diagonally from the upper anterior to the lower posterior, which towards the posterior at the top is placed distinctly concavely against the valve arch. A similar more rounded and significantly weaker thickening occasionally on the anterior margin of the right valve.

Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4654.

Paratypes: 3 carapaces, SMF Xe 4655 .

Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.89mm, height 0.54mm, width 0.54mm.

Remark (Bate et al. herein): Catalogue number for paratypes incorrect in original paper.
