Diagnosis. Middle-sized Hyalopeplus (total length 7.6 – 9.6 mm, maximal width across hemelytra 2.4 – 2.5 mm). Globally “citrine to lutescent with glassy hemelytra” ( Carvalho & Gross, 1979) and frequently with reddish or blackish stripes. Pronotal collar transversally striate. Pronotal callosities wide, not widely punctate. Pronotal disk transversally striate on a major part of the disk, slightly punctate laterally and posteriorly. Humeral angles almost rounded, not produced. Chromatic pattern very variable, particularly the longitudinal stripes of head and pronotum. Material examined. INDIA: ANDAMAN & NICOBAR: 31♂, 42♀: Mount Harriet, 349 m, 11°43’07.6”N, 92°43’ 58.6”E., 26.iv.2014, ex: Melastoma sp. ( Melastomataceae ), Yeshwanth H.M. leg. (UASB).

Distribution. Described from Java, known from Australia, Babelthaup Island, Caroline Islands, Indonesia (Java, Sumatra), India, Japan, Mariana Islands, New Britain, New Hebrides, Palau Islands, Papua New Guinea, Philippines Islands, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri-Lanka, Vietnam. Already cited from India by Pathak (1969).
