Head ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 57 – 62 ) slightly longer than broad, smooth, shiny. Temples much longer than ocular diameter. Vertex, frons and rostrum without any trace of groove. Prorostrum 0.35 as long as head + metarostrum + mesorostrum. Longitudinal groove of venter of head almost missing. Antennomere 3 hardly longer than broad, conical; antennomere 4–8 almost cylindrical, as long as broad; 11th 1.90 longer than 10th.

Pronotum shiny, smooth, the longitudinal groove not very deep. Prosternum grooved on its anterior part; prosternellum distinct. Underside of the first protarsal segment denticulate ( Fig. 60 View FIGURES 57 – 62 ). Metasternum shiny, smooth, deeply grooved. Base of elytra almost straight, interstria not protruding forward. Interstria 3, 5 and 7 enlarged at apex, projecting above the apical declivity and forming a tooth ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 57 – 62 ); interstria 5, 6 and 7 connected forward to form a common humeral interstria. External border of apical "forceps" with a small tooth at base ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 57 – 62 , arrow); inner border without median tooth.

Sternites III–IV of abdomen ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 57 – 62 ) very convex, smooth and shiny, not grooved; sternite IV with a strong tubercle before apical declivity. Latero-apical depressions of sternite VII weak. Spiculum gastrale: Fig. 61 View FIGURES 57 – 62 . Tegmen: Fig. 62 View FIGURES 57 – 62 .

Remarks. This species is also cited from Australia (Coen district, Cape York, Queensland) by Schedl (1959) and Solomon Islands ( Sforzi & Bartolozzi, 2004) but I was unable to confirm these records. Distribution map: Fig. 99 View FIGURE 99 .
