Diagnosis. Together with H. bolivari the only members of this species group having eight spines at the dorsal surface of the hindtibia [8.7.4], distinguished from the latter species by the larger size, the unicoloured pronotum, and shape and colouration of tegmina.

Material studied. Holotype, 1♂, Tanger, M. Escalera (prep.: Bo 1366). (M. Madrid). — 1♂, Sebou, A.Thery, (prep.: Bo 1429) (det. L.Chopard). (M. Paris).

Description of male. Size. Length of pronotum: 5.8 mm; length of tegmina: 17.5 mm.

Colouration. Head with dark brown vertex, frons and postclypeus, anteclypeus and labrum ochreous, bottom of interocellar foveolae lightly coloured. Pronotum almost uniformly ochreous, along the anterior border narrowly lighter coloured. Tegmina mostly uniformly nut brown, towards apically slightly lightened, anal furrow and a narrow stripe posteriorly accompanying the subcosta in its basal part transparent, costal field basally with a yellowish patch ( Fig. 20A View FIGURE 20 ). Remaining body ochreous.

Head. Eyes and ocelli equidistant, distance slightly greater than the diameter of the ocelli; interocellar depression with relatively large foveolae with lightly coloured bottom.

Pronotum. Anterior border mesally with a weak sinusoidal projection, lateral borders moderately truncate.

Wings. Relatively short (as compared with the species of the genus Mollidentoblatta ). Tegmina rather broad, anterior border slightly convex, posterior border strongly and almost regularly rounded, apex far anteriorly, without subcosta lobe ( Fig. 20A View FIGURE 20 ).

Other characters. Tibia armament: [1.8.0][6.8.1][8.7.4], dorsal spines of hindtibia in two groups à 5 and 3, ventral spines in two groups à 2.—Subgenital plate: Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 .—Right phallomere: Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 .
