The species occurs in Africa, Asia and the Neotropics where it has been reported from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Venezuela ( Aptroot et al. 2009; Jagadeesh Ram & Sinha 2011).
Specimens examined. BOLIVIA. Dept. La Paz: Prov. Franz Tamayo, APOLOBAMBA, near Paujeyuyo, 15º02’46”S, 68º27’46”W, 960 m, Sub-Andean Amazon forest close to plantation, corticolous, 12 November 2014, MK 14522 (LPB, UGDA).
