In the Neotropics the species has been reported in Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, and elsewhere in Australia, India, Vanuatu and Vietnam ( Aptroot et al. 2009; Frisch & Thor 2010; Jagadeesh Ram & Sinha 2011; McCarthy 2014).
