Heniartes scutellatus Wygodzinsky, 1947 View in CoL

( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34 – 39. 34 – 37 )

Distribution: Heniartes scutellatus was described based on a single female from an unknown locality, but probably from the Amazon region ( Wygodzinsky 1947). The species was cited for “Amazonas” ( Wygodzinsky 1949) and Brazil ( Maldonado 1990). The female examined here ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34 – 39. 34 – 37 ) is the first accurate record from any country.

Specimen examined: SURINAM, 1 female, Marowijne distr., Christian Kondre, X-[1]963, B. Malkin [leg.] [MZSP].
