Description of Gryllotalpicola reticulitermitis HMF 7422

Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and irregular oval-shaped. Colonies are Circular, convex, entire and white-colored after 3 days on R2 A at 30° C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and β-galactosidase in API 20NE but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase. D-Glucose, D-mannitol and gluconate are utilized. Does not utilize L-arabinose, D-mannose, N-acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, caprate, adipate, malate, citrate and phenylacetate. Strain HMF7422 (= NIBRBAC000498454) has been isolated from tree, Yongin, Gyeonggi, Korea .
