FEMALE (Specimens measured – Kenya: 6 and holotype). Numbers in brackets correspond our measurements of the holotype.

Dorsum Dorsal shield with few lateral striae anterior to s4, 326(317338) [348] long and 218(214224) [228] wide. Setae j1 and j3 30(2632), j4 6(58) [7], j5 6(58) [6], j6 8(68) [7], J2 8(610) [10], J5 8(68), z2 8(810) [6], z4 8(810) [6], z5 6(58) [7], Z1 8(8 10) [10], Z4 8(610) [11], Z5 27(2429), s4 11(1013) [13], S2 10(811) [12], S4 11(813) [12], S5 10(811) [11], r3 10(810), R1 8(610) [8]. Dorsal setae smooth, except Z5 which are lightly serrate.

Peritreme Reaching level of z2.

Venter All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1ST3 54(5159), ST2ST2 61(5862) and ST5ST5 67(6470). With 1 pair of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 93(9198) [98] long, 57(5659) [50] wide at ZV2 level and 62(5869) wide at anus level.

Spermatheca Calyx 23 long, filamentous; atrium barely distinguishable; minor duct distinct.

Legs With a distinguishable, short, erect posterodorsodistal (pd1) seta on genu I 10(811). Macrosetae on legs II and III blunt, macrosetae on leg IV blunt to knobbed: SgeII 21(1922) [24], SgeIII 27(2629) [26], StiIII 22 [16], SgeIV 38(3540) [42], StiIV 32(2935), StIV 45(4048) [38].

MALE (Specimens measured – Kenya: 1).

Dorsum Dorsal shield with few lateral striae anterior to z4, 248 long and 168 wide. Setae j1 29, j3 26, j4, j5 and j6 6, J2 8, J5 5, z2 8, z4 and z5 6, Z1 and Z4 8, Z5 32, s4 11, S2, S4 and S5 11, r3 10, R1 6. Dorsal setae smooth, except Z5 which are lightly serrate.

Peritreme Reaching level of z4.

Venter – Sternal shield smooth. Ventrianal shields transversely striate, with irregular margins, 101 long, 136 wide at anterior corners.

Chelicera Shaft of spermatodactyl 22 long.

Legs Differentiated seta on genu I and macrosetae of legs IIIV similar to female: short seta of genu I 10, SgeII 19, SgeIII 24, StiIII 19, SgeIV 30, StiIV 26, StIV 38.

REMARKS: The calyx of the spermatheca could not be measured in the holotype. What seems to be the calyx of a paratype collected with the holotype is 22 m long.

SPECIMENS EXAMINED: The holotype and a paratype collected by E.W. Baker from an Acanthaceae on 10IV55, Leopoldville, Zaire. Kenya: Mwabungu, on unknown host, 26II85, J.S. Yaninek; 3 km N Lunga Lunga, Coastal Province, on Indigofera hirsuta and Manihot esculenta , 28XI89, J.S. Yaninek.
