Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Fairly common; terrestrial in open places in humid montane forests, among rocks, on mossy banks, and in Sphagnum on roadsides; 2400–3400 m.
Notes: —Blades 2-pinnate; pinnae sparsely hairy on both surfaces, abaxially the hairs restricted to the veins; hairs on petioles, rachises, and pinnae rigid, gland-tipped (at least on the petioles), clear or bicolorous, the cells of the hairs terete.
