MacLeish et al. 736 (holotype: RB [ RB00282598 ]; isotypes: F e! [ F0049461 F], G [not seen], GA [ GA152955 ], K e! [ K000497169 ], M e! [ M0029452 ], NY [ NY00168384 ], P [ P00683152 ], RSA e! Distribution and habitat: — Brazil ( Bahia , Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais). Campo rupestre and cerrado; 620– 1500 m.
Taxonomic Notes: —Similar to Eremanthus brasiliensis : see that species for a discussion of the differences. It was thought to be restricted to the Chapada dos Veadeiros (Goiás) but three other records widely expand its distribution to southeastern Bahia , Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.
