TYPE LOCALITY: Jamaica, 3 mi E. Montego Bay .

DISTRIBUTION: Jamaica.

COMMENT: Probably only a subspecies of fuscus (KFK). Arnold et al., 1980, J. Mammal., 61: 319-322, suggested that it is probably not conspecific with fuscus .
