T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Argentina, 800, Tucuman, Ciudad Universitaria , 18-II-1959, J. F.G. Clarke ( WFBM) . Paratypes: 3 specimens. ARGENTINA: Provincia de Córdaba ; Córdaba,?-9-1939, M. J. Viana ( MNHN, 1; WOPC, 1) ; idem, La Criolla,?- I-1903, 1,500 m. G. A. Baer ( MNHN, 1) .
D i a g n o s i s: Antennae testaceous; prothorax bicolorous; pronotum mostly black, partly testaceous; pterothorax testaceous; elytra base slightly testaceous, rest of elytra black, but elytra with three yellow markings; elytral apex setose; legs testaceous.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 58 View Figs 57-60 . Head. (EW/FW 20/60). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW-110/110); (EL/EW 270/75). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 107 View Figs 101-110 ).
V a r i a t i o n: Length 5.0-7-0 mm; width 1.0- 1.2 mm. The pronotum may entirely testaceous.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, tucuman, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
