T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Peru, Loreto, Amazonas, Iquitos , Novembre 1879, M. de Mathan ( MNHN).
D i a g n o s i s: Antenna and cranium testaceous; pronotum black; elytra bicolorous, each elytron with three testaceous fasciae, two basal fasciae quadrate, apical fascia. small; legs brown.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.2 mm. Form: As in Fig. 32 View Figs 29-32 . Head: (EW/FW 30/60). Thorax: Pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW 110/110); (EL/EW 270/70). Abdomen: Aedeagus lost.
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, loreto, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality
