D i a g n o s i s: Elytra with prominent gibba; cranium with two black spots; epicranium black; pronotal proper bicolored, mostly red; elytra tricolorous, anterior basal 1/3 castaneous, middle 1/3 mostly black, with subcircular testaceous marking, posterior 1/3 black; antenna, mouthparts, legs, and mesothorax testaceous.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 8.0 mm; width 1.3 mm. Form: As in Fig. 27 View Figs 25-28 . Head: (EW/FW 18/56). Thorax: Subapical depression well defined; elytra roughly punctate; (PL/PW 120/120); (EL/EW 330/80). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 83 View Figs 83-91 ).

V a r i a t i o n: The extent of black coloration on the pronotum varies. Length 5.0-7-0 mm; width 1.0- 1.2 mm.

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, huila, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality
