T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Peru, Provincia de Alto Amazonas , Amazonas ( MNHN).

D i a g n o s i s: Mostly black; cranium highly setose; elytra mostly testaceous, humeral angle with spot, elytral posterior region with black fascia.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 7.0 mm; width 1.3 mm. Form: As in Fig. 11 View Figs 9-12 . Head: Capitulum slightly acuminate; (EW/FW 20 /60). Thorax: Elytral disc finely punctate; (PL/PW 110/110); (EL/EW 270/80). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 71).

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, cinctus, constitutes a noun in apposition, it stems from the Latin word "belt".
