Subgenus Lissempis Bezzi

The subgenus Lissempis (with E. nigritarsis Meigen, 1804 as type-species) currently includes seven species ( Chvála 2002; Shamshev & Kustov 2013). Only one species ( E. liosoma Bezzi, 1909 ) was previously recorded from Iran (Qsar-l-shirin) ( Raffone 2007). We describe below a new species of Lissempis collected from the Province Guilan, which is situated on the north-west of Iran lying along the Caspian Sea. Also we provide an updated key to species of Lissempis .
