Description: Antenna in male with basal threequarters bipectinate, outer rami longer than inner rami. Frons white, a small green patch present in the holotype. Labial palpus with upper and lateral surfaces brown, ventral surface white. Vertex green. Dorsal side of thorax and abdomen pale green, intersegment white on abdomen. Hind tibia with two pairs of spurs in both sexes, not dilated, without hair-pencil, terminal extension absent.

Forewing length: ♀ ♂ 16–17 mm. Forewing green, with white antemedial and postmedial lines, both straight, the antemedial inclined outwards, the postmedial inwards. Hindwing pale green, anterior part whitish, with white submarginal line parallel to outer margin; discal spot dark green. Both wings with terminal line and fringes concolorous with wing surface. Underside: forewing same as upperside; hindwing with outwardly curved postmedial line. Frenulum well developed.

Male genitalia. Uncus totally bifid, tapering, bent outwards. Socii longer than uncus, tapering but blunt. Valva simple, apex blunt; costa protruding at middle. Vinculum short, concave at middle, with branches short and broad. Aedeagus slender.

Female genitalia. Sterigma irregularly shaped. Antrum rounded, with posterior margin deeply concave, depth about half length of antrum. Ductus bursae quite short. Corpus bursae weak (incomplete in specimen examined).

Diagnosis: Comibaena birectilinea is similar to Comibaena cenocraspis and Comibaena hypolampes in the male genitalia and wing pattern. However, the antemedial line is distinctly inclined outwards, and close to the postmedial line on the inner margin. In the male genitalia, the costa is protruding and angled, and the lateral protrusions of the vinculum are shorter and broader. The female genitalia are similar to those of Comibaena cenocraspis , but the concavity of the antrum is shallower. The wing pattern of Comibaena birectilinea resembles the members of Thetidia , but the frenulum is present in this species, whereas it is usually absent in Thetidia .

Distribution: China (Sichuan, Tibet). Etymology: A combination of the Latin prefix bi - and rectilinea, referring to the linear antemedial and postmedial lines on the forewing.
