Diagnosis. Male: clypeus green, margin black.. Male genitalia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13 – 24 ). Parameres wider at tip than penis. Female clypeus greenish-copper, margin black; pygidium ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 25 – 36 ), lateral to wavy median carina, concave, heavily sculptured and pitted. One female was larger than previously reported, 12.2 mm long and 5.2 mm wide. Males: 9.7 – 11.0 mm long, 3.9 – 4.3 mm wide. Females: 10.1 – 12.2 mm long, 4.2 – 5.2 mm wide.
Hosts. A male and two females of this uncommon endemic Michigan species were collected between 14- VII-78 and 2-VII-79 on tanglefoot treated dead trunks of Prunus americana Marsh. , in Shiawassee Co. (T5NR1E Sec. 35), Michigan.
