Male. Body slightly reddish brown. Vertex yellowish brown, with two small blackish spots on anterior margin ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 5 – 10 ). Frons and frontoclypeus grayish yellow. Clypellus, lora and gena pale yellow ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 5 – 10 ). Eyes darkish brown. Ocelli yellowish. Pronotum ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 5 – 10 ) with three pairs of triangular black stripes on anterior margin, a trapeziform brownish stripe medially. Scutellum reddish brown with basal triangles dark brown, a round discal spot on either side of median line. Forewings reddish brown to gray brown, veins dark brown.

Male genitalia. Pygofer elongate, in lateral view caudal margin narrow and gradually tapered ( Fig. 34 View FIGURE 32 – 41 ), apical third of ventral margin with weakly 27–28 denticles ( Fig. 35 View FIGURE 32 – 41 ). Anal collar processes elongate, 0.5 times as long as pygofer, of uniform width. Subgenital plates narrow and long with prominent macrosetae on subapical margin. Apophysis of style ( Fig. 37 View FIGURE 32 – 41 ) with outer margin bearing approximately 19-20 lateral setae. Aedeagal shaft ( Fig. 38 View FIGURE 32 – 41 ) elongate, nearly straight, rounded apically, subapex two pairs of unequal processes surface about between gonopore, gonopore situated at subapex on posterior surface ( Fig. 39 View FIGURE 32 – 41 ).

Female. Unknown.

Measurements (mm). Male: body length 5.8, face length 1.375, width 1.5; distance between ocelli 0.5; distance from ocellus to eyes 0.25; medial length of pronotum 0.55, width 1.5; scutellum length 0.8, width 1.1.

Material examined. Holotype: male, China, Sichuan Province, Yajiang County (30°03′N, 101°65′E), 8.ix.2005, Fuming Shi.

Host plant. Unknown.

Distribution. China: Sichuan.

Remarks. The new species resembles Chinaocerus bispinatus externally, but differs in having the body slightly reddish brown, the pronotum with a trapeziform brownish stripe, and the aedeagus shaft nearly straight, with two pairs of elongate apical processes.

Etymology. The species is named in honour of Professor Fuming Shi, for collecting the holotype.
