Holotype: ANSP 4921 View Materials (not 4821 as given in description, sensu Taylor, 1968).

Type locality: “ Magdalena River , Colombia.”

Distribution: Regions 1, 2. Magdalena Valley in Colombia, Andes of Venezuela (Táchira and Barinas), and Falcón State.
