Type locality: Peru, Arcoponco ( NHRS; not examined).

Tetrasarus lineatus Bréthes, 1920: 47 View in CoL ; Soukup, 1942: 311 (distr.); Bachmann & Di Iorio, 2002: 71 (type); Monné, M. A., 2005: 222 (cat.); Monné, M. A. et al., 2012: 33 (distr.), syn. nov.

Type locality: Peru, Junin, Chanchamayo. ( MACN; examined).

Caciomorpha genalis ( Aurivillius, 1908) View in CoL was described from Arcoponco, Peru, and is distributed in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia (Beni). The holotype is deposited in the NHRS.

Examination of the holotype of Tetrasarus lineatus Bréthes, 1920 View in CoL ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 6 a–b), deposited in the MACN, reveals the synonymy with Caciomorpha genalis View in CoL .

Type specimens examined. Tetrasarus lineatus Bréthes, 1920 : undetermined sex (“ TYPUS ”, “ Tetrasarus lineatus Bréthes ”, “Repreparo M. Viana I.1960 ”, “C. R. Vigil Péron”, “ type!”, “MACN-En 3032”) ( MACN).
