Diagnosis. Breda bistriata differs from the other species of the genus by having an elongate carapace and a strong tranverse stripe of yellowish scales on the distal portion of the dorsal abdomen in both sexes ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 57 – 61 ). The male is similar to that of Breda apicalis by the tibial apophysis distally dilated in the palp ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 57 – 61 ), but differs from this species by having the embolus tip straight ( Figs 37 View FIGURES 36 – 41 , 58 View FIGURES 57 – 61 ).

Description. Male (IBSP 59764). Total length: 6.25. Carapace length: 2.90; width: 1.90; height: 0.87. Carapace dark brown, with sparse long white hairs. Length of the ocular quadrangle: 1.35. Width of the anterior eye row: 1.57; posterior: 1.60. Chelicera dark brown, with four teeth on promargin and one on retromargin. Labium, sternum and endites dark brown. RvTA distally dilated and embolus tip short and relatively straight ( Figs 58–59 View FIGURES 57 – 61 , 37 View FIGURES 36 – 41 ). Legs 1423, I dark brown, II–IV yellow, metatarsus and tarsus I yellow, distal patella IV and tibia, metatarsus and tarsus IV dark brown laterally. Femur I 1.80x0.75; II 1.35x0.52; III 1.35; IV 1.75. Patella I 1.10; II 0.87; III 0.75; IV 0.90. Tibia I 1.40x0.57; II 1.07x0.35; III 0.90; IV 1.55. Metatarsus I 1.05; II 0.72; III 0.87; IV 1.25. Tarsus I 0.65; II 0.55; III 0.50; IV 0.57.
