Remarks.

Schawerda (1926) proposed this name as a “var.” of Argynnis pandora ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775). According to article 45.6.4 ( ICZN 1999), it is subspecific if first published before 1961 and author expressly used the term “var.”.
