In the protologue of Angelonia micrantha, Bentham (1846) cited two specimens, Gardner 2273 and Gardner 2274, without designating any herbarium. Later, Barringer (1983) selected a specimen of Gardner 2274 housed at K as the lectotype. However, there are two specimens of this gathering housed at K; therefore, also according to Art. 9.17 and to clarify precise citation of original materials in further studies, we selected the specimen K barcode K000528883 as second-step lectotype, as it bears Bentham’s herbarium stamp.
