Remarks. Listed by Comba (2019) [species 117], citing Warncke (1967) and Pagliano (2017), though Warncke (1967) explicitly lists it as a synonym of A. fuscosa Erichson, 1835 . There is currently no evidence to support ele- vating A. rutila to species status ( Gusenleitner & Schwarz 2002; Wood 2023a); such an elevation would require dedicated genetic analysis, and the position is maintained that A. rutila is a variably red-marked form of A. fuscosa that is more commonly encountered in areas with a hot microclimate.
