Distribution: Cordillera Occidental of W Colombia.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Subgenus Akodon . Tentatively affiliated with Microxus by Gyldenstolpe (1932), but Anthony (1924) had intimated its membership in Akodon and Cabrera (1961) arranged it as such.
