Agrilus iranopecirkai sp. nov.

Description of holotype. Length: 5.5 mm. BODY. Shape: subparallel, Profile: dorsally flattened, Color (dorsally): unicolored. HEAD. Vertex. Medial impression: present, Sculpture elements: rugae, Sculpture aspect: subparallel, Sculpture intensity: superficial. Eyes. Size: smaller than half width of vertex (dorsal view), Lower margin: in line or below antennal socket, Median orbit: converging ventrally. Antennae. Width: antennomeres 5–10 obviously short and broad, Serration: from antennomere 4. PRONOTUM. Shape: visually transverse, Sides: markedly arcuate, Sides (modification): sinuate before posterior angles, Maximal width: at anterior margin, Anterior margin: subequal to posterior. Anterior lobe. Development: absent or vague. Posterior angles. Shape: acute, Apex: sharp. Disk. Convexity: flat, Impressions: medial and lateral, Medial impression: anteromedial and posteromedial, Lateral impressions (depth): deep, Lateral impressions (width): broad. Prehumerus. Development: carinal, Extent: to 1/2 of pronotal length, Anterior end: distant from lateral pronotal carina, Posterior end: joined with posterior pronotal angle or margin, Arc: weak. Lateral carinae. Junction: absent, Narrowest point: at posterior 1/3 of marginal carina, Modifications: submarginal carina posteriorly obliterate. ELYTRA. Color: unicolored, Humeral carina: absent. Apices. Arrangement: separate, Shape: arcuate. Pubescence. Presence: without discernible pubescence. STERNUM. Pubescence. Strip of erect pubescence: extending from prosternal lobe to metasternal projection. Prosternal lobe. Size: large, Distal margin: subtruncate. Prosternal process. Shape: narrowed, Sides: straight, Angles: obtuse, Disc: flat, Projection (length): protruding distinctly beyond angles. Metasternum. Metasternal projection: flat. ABDOMEN. Basal ventrite. Modifications: absent. Pygidium. Apical margin: arcuate. Sternal groove. Shape on apex of last ventrite: arcuate. LEGS. Metatarsus. Length to metatibia: distinctly shorter. Metatarsomere 1. Length to following tarsomeres: longer than 2–3 but shorter than 2–4. GENITALIA. Aedeagus. Symmetry: symmetric, Shape: widest in apical part, Profile: flat.

Variability. Body length: 5.3–6.6 mm. Without discernible variability except for the size and color (silkygreen, silky-blue). Sexual dimorphism. The female has square (uritiform) ovipositor.

Diagnosis. The species is very similar to A. pecirkai Obenberger, 1916 by the habitus, by the glabrous ventral side, by small eyes, by absence of pronotal lobe, and by wide separately arcuate elytral apices. It can be distinguished by the silky-green or blue color, by the sinuate lateral pronotal margin, by the prehumerus extending to the half of pronotal length (lateral view), by the long and sparse medial strip of pubescence in male extending from prosternal lobe to basal ventrite (in A. pecirkai , the pubescence is denser and extends from prosternal lobe to metasternal projection), and by the shape of prehumerus ( Fig. 2H ).

Type material. Type locality: South Iran , Kerman provice, Jupar env., altitude 1900 m. Type specimens. Holotype ♂, 20 PT ( EJCB): “Iran-S, Kerman prov., Jupar env., 1900 m, 1.vi.2010, W. Grosser leg.”. Other paratypes. IRAN. Kerman. "C Iran, 2800 m, Lalehzar, 24- 30.5.1977 / Loc. no. 347, Exped. Nat. Mus. Praha" 6 PT ( NMPC); "Iran (Kerman) 2680m, Rayen env., 29°34'40"N, 57°18'35"E, 24.v.2011, D. Baiocchi leg." 1 ♂ PT ( EJCB).

Distribution. IRAN: Kerman.

Etymology. The specific name is derived from Iran (the country from the type locality) and pecirkai (the specific name of homomorphic species).

Remarks. In Jendek (2016a: 37), all type specimens were cited as A. pecirkai .
