Range: — Colombia to Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Rare (1 collection known), terrestrial, in lowlands and Andean forests; 550 m.

Notes: —Most closely related to A. mathewsianum , A. peruvianum , and the extraterritorial A. trapeziforme L, agreeing with these in having large fronds, large ultimate segment (pinnule) size with the dark color of stalks stopping abruptly at the pinnule bases, glabrous axes, and glabrous blades.
