sp. nov.
Note. This species is mentioned as “cf. ArachnomuraHTCHV” in Ruiz & Maddison (2015).
Typematerial.Male holotype(deposited in QCAZ, temporarily held at the UBC-SEM) and female paratype( QCAZ, temporarily held at the UBC-SEM) from Yasuní Reserve Station Area, Station area ( 0.674°S, 76.397°W), 210‒280 melev., Orellana, Ecuador, 8‒9.VIII.2011, W.P. Maddison, E. Piasick & M. Vega leg.
Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, in reference to the Huao language, spoken by Waorani people who live near the typelocality.
Diagnosis.Males of Ta. huao sp. nov.share with Ta. metzneri sp. nov.a triangular RvTA ( Figs 21A‒21C) and a long cymbial groove extending retrodorsally on the cymbium, but differ by the longer and strong RTA ( Fig. 21C). Females resemble those of Ta. adfectuosaby the abdominal dorsal pattern, but differ in where the ducts enter the spermathecae: anteriorly in Ta. adfectuosa( Galiano 1977a: fig. 24), posteriorly in this species ( Figs 21D‒21E).
Description. Male ( holotype).Total length: 3.34. Carapace 1.69 long, 1.11 wide, 0.69 high. Ocular quadrangle 1.04 long. Anterior eye row 1.00 wide and posterior 0.96 wide. Chelicera paturon with two promarginal teeth, the distal one tricuspid, and two retromarginal teeth, the proximal one tricuspid. Length of femur: I 1.13, II 0.77, IV 0.96 (no leg III); patella + tibia: I 1.77, II 1.04, IV 1.23; metatarsus + tarsus: I 1.17, II 0.79, IV 1.04. Leg formula: both leg III are lost, but if the species follows the typical thiodinine male leg pattern, it will be 1423. Leg spination: femur I‒II d1-1-1, p0, r0; III unknown; IV d1-1-1, p0, r0; patella I, II and IV 0; tibia I p0, r0, v2*-0-2a- 2a; II p0, r0, v1r-2a*-1r; III unknown; IV p0 (p0-0-1 right), r0 (r0-1-0 right), v2adi; metatarsus I‒II v2-2; III unknown; IV p2di, r1di, v1rdi. Palp ( Figs 21A‒21C): tibia wider than long; RTA triangular and strongly curved; both palps are expanded, but from the cymbial groove it is possible to suppose that the embolus passes retrodorsally on the cymbium (slightly longer than 2T before curling away from the tegulum; Fig. 21C). Color in alcohol: As in Ta. agatelin sp. nov. Female.Total length: 3.24. Carapace 1.44 long, 0.90 wide, 0.57 high. Ocular quadrangle 0.90 long. Anterior eye row 0.90 wide and posterior 0.87 wide. Chelicera paturon with one tricuspid promarginal tooth and three retromarginal teeth. Length of femur: I 0.81, II 0.65, III 0.67, IV 0.86; patella + tibia: I 1.21, II 0.84, III 0.81, IV 1.15; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.88, II 0.67, III 0.81, IV 0.98 Leg formula: 4132. Leg spination: femur I‒IV d1-1-1, p0, r0; patella I‒IV 0; tibia I p0, r0, v2a-2a-2a ( v2-2a-2a right); II p0, r0, v1r-1r-1r; III p0, r0-1-0, v0; IV p0, r0-1-0, v1pdi; metatarsus I v2-2; II p1di, r0, v2-2; III p2di, r1di (r2di right), v0; IV p2di, r2di (r1di right), v0. Epigyne ( Figs 21D‒21E): posterior edge slightly bilobed, copulatory openings medially placed. Color in alcohol: As in male, but sides of the abdomen with a pair of white spots, venter of abdomen white. Same color pattern on metatarsus I ( Fig. 20).
Distribution.Only known from Yasuní, Ecuador. Natural history.Types were collected in clearings at forest edge.
