        <spm:hasContent> Taxon discussion Two male specimens are known from Cuba, which were not physically examined, but the original description and illustration provide a strong basis for placing this species in the Zelus puertoricensisspecies group. This is confirmed by the narrow, elongated body form; the flat and rectangular pronotum; the general genitalic shape indicated in the figure. The much smaller size and flat postocular lobe negates it being a male of Z. subimpressus. It is more likely to be the male of Z. zayasi.</spm:hasContent>
