In the original paper Moricand stated “je n’en connais qu’un seul individu”. The lot found consists of nine specimens, but seems to be a mixture of specimens obtained at different times, as Moricand (1836b: 424) wrote “L’individu que j’ai figuré [in Moricand, 1834b] n’était pas adulte, j’en ai reçu depuis lors qui ont 16 tours de spire, et un autre plus grand encore”.
