Dissection of the genitalia and examination of the proximal sclerite of the internal sac of aedeagus of the specimen from Ecuadorwas necessary to confirm identification.   Teramocerus pulchriformiswas previously known from Brazil, Colombia, and Peru( Mantilleri 2015a). The occurrence of this species in Ecuador, east of the Andes, is not surprising and constitutes a new country record. 2000-09-05 2000-09-16 2000-09-05 TAMU F. T.
