All known specimens are restricted to the Amazon basin.   Remarks:  Cidoria flavais probably a nocturnal Harpactorinispecies because it has been collected at lights ( Bérenger 2007). Mejía-Soto et al.(2022)suggested that  C. flavamight be a  Ploeogasterspecies. Zhang & Weirauch (2014)included a specimen identified as  Ploeogastersp.(UCR_ENT 00001516, RCW_636), which given its pronotal structure, fits what has been described as  Cidoria( Mejia-Soto et al.2022). This specimen was nested within the  Ploeogasterclade in the analysis of Zhang & Weirauch (2014).
