Type data: A single female specimen with original Lepeletier’s label was found in OUMNH. This specimen is here designated the lectotypeand it has the following data label: 495 [handwritten]\ Centris denudansLep. ♀Cayen- nae [handwritten] ( OUMNH). The lectotypeis much damaged with eyes and metasoma missing. According to the original description, this specimen belonged to Dejean collection. Typelocality: French Guiana: Cayenne. Comment: This species was correctly interpreted by Silveira et al. (2002)and according to these authors and to Moure et al. (2007)in Brazil C. denudanscan be found in Amazonas, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rondôniaand São Paulostates.
