Yang, Zhang & Yang, 1993 : 662 Review of the genus Mohrigia Menzel (Diptera, Sciaridae) from China Xu, Jun Shi, Kai Huang, Junhao Wu, Hong Zootaxa 2017 4300 1 71 98 Yang, Zhang & Yang, 1993 Yang, Zhang & Yang 1993 [151,806,1372,1398] Insecta Sciaridae Mohrigia Animalia Diptera 16 87 Arthropoda species rhynchophysa comb. nov.      Plastosciara rhynchophysa  Yang, Zhang & Yang, 1993: 662( typelocality: Mt. Longqishan, Fujian); Zhang et al., 2003: 123.   Diagnosis. The species is characterized by the apical tooth arising from a large coracoid dorsal lobe on the gonostylus, densely setose on the apicoventral part of gonostylus, inner side of gonostylus slightly concaved, bearing several flagellate setae; parameral apodeme laterally sclerotized on tegmen; gonocoxite with an oblong intercoxal lobe; maxillary palps 2-segmented, basal segment with 2 setae.   Distribution. China( Fujian, Fig. 16) ( Yang et al, 1993).   Remarks. The species was described as  Plastosciara rhynchophysaby Yang et al.(1993), although the authors considered it a ‘strange’ member of the genus due to its unique structures on the hypopygium, slender antennal 4th flagellomere, and an arcuate patch of dense straight setae on subapical foretibia. The diagnosis above is given based on the original description and illustration, since we could not locate the type specimen in ZAFU collection, where the type should have been deposited. Yang et al.(1993)gave no detailed description, but the illustration shows the laterally sclerotized parameral apodeme, and several flagellate setae on the inner side of the gonostylus. Based on the generic characteristics of  Mohrigia,  P. rhynchophysa Yang, Zhang & Yang, 1993should be transferred to the genus. 1585189628 [151,1420,1443,1465] Zhang Mt.
