Material examined. TALUD III, St. 3B ( 22°36’36”N, 106°35’54”W), August 17, 1991, 1M, IKfrom surface to 275 m( TD, ND) (ICML-EMU-12459A); St. 19B ( 25°18’24”N, 109°18’36”W), August 20, 1991, 3F, IKfrom surface to 600 m( TD, 1890 m) (ICML-EMU-12459B). Eastern Pacific and worldwide distribution. It has been reported from 44 to 49°Nin the Kurushio Current zone of influence; SE Gulf of California(present study; Fig. 2). Circumtropical (Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans; Mediterranean Sea) ( Vinogradov et al. 1996), especially in warm waters ( Zeidler & de Broyer 2009).
Remarks. A male of 14 mmin length and three small immature females were identified by the distinctive features of the pereopod 5, namely their short dactylus and the slender propodus, which is about one third the length of carpus.
